hello, i'm jamie

[now i get to tell you how great I am]

[about me]

Consultants' about me pages are the epitome of box-ticking bullshit. Most follow the same formula, use a beautiful professional portrait, and often include a random fact, like 'my dog was once in a movie'.

I tried doing that, but that's clearly not me.

Before starting mash of brands®, I spent 20 years working as a marketer, publicist, and entrepreneur. After receiving a degree in marketing, I studied at Le Cordon Bleu. My first job upon leaving Cordon Bleu was as the personal chef to the Dutch Ambassador. Later, I became a publicist, working at global agencies in London and Dubai before becoming Head of Media and Communications at an in-house role. In 2009, against all advice, I left my safe career to pursue a dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Within a few years, I had grown an eBay side hustle into multiple category-defining brands, which I later sold to a venture capitalist.

After selling my companies, I decided to launch mash of brands® to provide the help, support, and honesty that I wish I'd had from the consultants I engaged as I grew my own businesses.

Working with mash of brands® will not appeal to everyone. We're not a traditional consultancy that can only deliver the same formulaic strategy. As creative growth consultants, we're constantly working to remain on top of emerging trends and discover new ways to help our clients stand out and grow. However, if you're an ambitious business owner and would like to work with a small team with a proven track record of success, we'd love to demonstrate what we can deliver for you.
